Staying at Glen
Originally a game larder, wine store and cart shed, a beautiful stone stair now links two floors making a comfortable two bedroom house with the perfect match of historic details and modern conveniences. The upper level has a charming picture gallery plus two bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. The lower level includes the kitchen, sitting room, powder room, courtyard and direct access to the surrounding grounds. Many pictures and furnishings are from the Glen House collection. Facilities include: central heat, wood stove, telephone, Sat TV, WiFi internet, washer & dryer. We expect the Larder Wing to be ready for occupancy by July 2010. If you are interested in a week-long, self-catered stay, please contact us at info@glenhouse.com |
Soon you will be able to stay at Glen House in the newly converted Larder Wing. Shown here in architect, David Bryce's original 1854 watercolour perspective-view, the Larder Wing is set near the impressive entry bridge which leads into the main courtyard. Tranquil sounds of the Kill Burn, bird life and gentle breezes are what you will hear while staying in this luxurious retreat. Guests have rare access to the private Glen House gardens as well as the surrounding parks and moorland.
